All,

I heard from Austin Lashley in Silverton that they will be organizing a fly-in again this fall. There is no official info yet, but it will be the September 10-11 weekend. Book the date!

Last year the event was super nice. Very casual organisation, nothing crazy. The weather forecast was not good, but we managed to fly quite a bit anyways. Probably flew around an hour in total. One very interesting feature is that there were as many speed wing pilots as paragliders. Although hang gliders are invited too, none showed up. Hopefully this year will be tri-wingal.

We flew Kendall Mtn, launching at 12 000 ft, and landed in Silverton at 8800 ft. Even a sled ride in this majestic part of Colorado is worth it there. The launches are easy except for a slightly harder run due to altitude. Beginners can fly it if they avoid mid-day air. There is free camping in-town for the event. So I encourage everyone to check it out.

More when official info is out. Fly high!
Patrick
